VisionDock AI helps Nigerian businesses find events in recorded CCTV footage, such as when goods left a warehouse. Footage can show people, so we keep what we collect to a minimum and explain here exactly what happens to it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address, and your password stored only as a salted one-way hash. We never store or see your password in plain text.
- Footage you upload: the video file, its basic properties (duration, resolution, size) and the original filename.
- Analysis results: detected events (object type, timestamps, confidence score, bounding box) and one evidence image per event, taken from your footage.
- Contact messages: the name, email, company and message you send through the contact form.
What we do not do
- We do not use facial recognition, match faces, or identify individuals. A person is detected only as “person”.
- We do not sell your data or share your footage with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not send your footage to third-party AI services. Analysis runs on our own servers.
- We do not use your footage to train models.
How we use your information
To run your account, analyse the footage you upload, show you the resulting events, and reply to messages you send us. Detection results are produced automatically by a computer-vision model and may be wrong; they are provided to help you review footage, not to make decisions about people on their own.
Who can see your footage
Only the account that uploaded a video can view it, its events and its evidence images. Media is served only to a logged-in owner and is never available at a public or guessable address.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you logged in. It is HTTP-only, so scripts on the page cannot read it, and it expires after 24 hours. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account, footage and analysis results until you ask us to delete them. To delete your account or any video, contact us from the email address on your account, and we will remove the footage, its events and evidence images.
Your responsibilities
Only upload footage you are authorised to use. Recordings of staff, drivers and visitors contain their personal data, so let people know, for example with clear CCTV signs, that an area is recorded and that recordings may be analysed, as the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 expects.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send requests through the contact page. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date below.
